Envelope design ...

Since I love to write letters, I have created a new envelope design today that matches one of my newest stationery designs ...

This was actually also a test to see if I could enclose an animated (.gif) file here on my blog ...

If all goes right, the bird house on the right should change color every 2 seconds ....

Last week I've made a few tags with the FREE stamp of the Month (June) that was posted on the FTHS blog.

I've enjoyed coloring this cute little hedgehog so much and I've also tried to create a background by masking the image with masking fluid ... it was my first trial !

Surprised Birdbrain - FTHS sketch (no. 111)

Since I bought some new markers last weekend, I have been trying to find some cute digital images that I could first print, then color (heart) and finally use on my cards !!

I came across the "From The Heart Stamps" shop and website (FTHS) and fell in love with all the cute images over there !! I've bought a couple of them to start with and put a few others on "my wishlist" as well :-D

I also noticed that there are regular challenges with the FTHS digi-stamps, so I thought I'd give it a try right away !

They currently have a challenge running : a sketch challenge with a twist (no.111).

Because I was having sooo much fun, I ended up making two cards with the same sketch !

(The coloring itself proved to be harder than I initially thought it would be, and my images are currently not as streakless as I had hoped for ...so, I'll definitely *need* more digi's to refine my techniques ...)

I did not put a sentiment on the cards at this point, because I have not yet decided what I am going to use them for, but I can always add some text or label later, right ?

I wonder which one of the two you like the best ?

Thinking of you - Chameleon pens

Helllloooooo everyone !

True, it's been a long while since I've posted here, but today I'm back !!

Last weekend I have bought myself a set of Chameleon pens !! The full set !! And I have enjoyed using them sooooooo much already !! I'm still learning it, but I'm already LOVING it !!

On the site (chameleonpens.com), there is even plenty of information, video's and tutorials about how to use these amazing pens. The card that I am going to show you below has been made by following a FREE tutorial by illustrator Dave Antram. But there is lots more included in the monthly newsletter as well !

The colors I used for the two bears are Violet, Brown and Coco, but you can create a lot of depth because of the changing color tone of each pen !

The little flower at the bottom has not been colored with these pens, but had been colored before with some watercolor pencils ...

Well, I hope you are just as enthusiast about this card as I am !!

Oh ! And of course I am constantly looking for new (digi-)stamps that are fun to color now ! I think I'm going to check the Simon Says Stamp site and maybe a few others too !

I would like to enter my card on the Simon Wednesday Challenge blog, but was amazed that there were already over 800 entries there !! It will be a great source for inspiration to scroll through all the other cards that have been uploaded before !

First Christmas Card

Today I want to show you one of the first Christmas cards I've made this season ...

Maybe it's a little early to start posting Holiday themed cards, but I've recently bought this cute Christmas Lights Snail image in Meljen's shop and I couldn't wait any longer to create something with it.

I loved coloring the digi very much although I realize it's not perfect, but I struggled so much composing the card and there are a couple of things that went wrong, oh well,  imperfections can be charming too I hope ;-)

Meljen's Design - "stitched country heart"

For such a long time I have hoped to be able to play along with one of the Weekend Mini Challenges over at Meljen's Designs Club and now I've finally had a few spare moments to join !! Yaaaay !!!

I know, it's a very Clean And Simple (CAS) card, I just wanted to have a few quick mini cards to enclose in my outgoing mail, and the stitched country heart is just perfect to thank my friends for being part of my life :-) !!

Lift challenge # 72

Wat is het alweer superlang geleden dat ik hier nog iets gepost heb !

Maar het kriebelde al een hele tijd om nog eens wat kaarten te maken, dus toen ik de leuke lift challenge zag op het gelijknamige blog, ben ik er eindelijk nog eens in gevlogen :-)

Mijn kaartje is er eentje om op te sturen naar een penne-vriendin uit de UK, ik ben nu al benieuwd wat ze er van vindt ;-)

It has been such a long time since I've posted anything on my blog !

But my fingers had been itching for a long time to start making some more cards again, so when I saw the cool lift challenge on the blog, I decided to give it a go again ;-)

I've made my card for one of my pen pals living in the UK, I wonder what she will think of it and hope she will like it ;-)

Mail Art Envelopes

Below a first sample of my mail art envelopes ...

I've drawn & painted the owl image in Artrage, then finished the envelope with some Photoshop brushes ...

It's perfect to use my stash of white envelopes that I usually leave aside when sending mail to my pals abroad ...

I can hardly wait to use them now :)

Baby announcement

 a few trials ...

and here's the final result !

This is a baby announcement card that I've made for my sister's third baby boy.

I can finally show it on my blog now, since her son Simen was born on the 18th of February and everyone should have received the announcement by now ;-)

It was a bit of a challenge to come up with something original and it was quite a relief to hear that many people liked the result :).

The "C" stands for Cats and Cozy moments in my Cards :

Snail mail tags

Hello again,

Here's my second post for today ...

These are some snail mail tags I've created and colored last night.
























I would like to participate with them in Meljen's current challenge - Tag You're it.

I used three of my favorite Meljen's digital images, because they are all related with 'mail' ;-)
(Mailed With Love, Snail Mail & Birds Little Letter)

I created them in Artboard, printed them out and then colored them with coloring crayons...

I guess most of you know that I am also into pen palling, so the tags will be very useful :D
